A friend of mine from Europe has rescued some puppies and dogs from the st. in India. And is in urgent need of someone to care for them at a rescue place in Madras, Inia at which they are kept temporary until mid august when she can take them to europe to have a pleasant life. Problem is mean while they are too busy with the other rescue dogs at the shelter. And have warned my friend that if they don't find someone to care for the dogs meanwhile (between now and mid Aug.). They would be put them back on the streets. Which would mean the most horrible ways of death for them.
I am just putting the word out and hopping some dog lover who wants to travel to India. Would be interested in part taking of changing the future of these less fortunate dogs. And giving them a chance to live a life that they deserve.

Please, if you know of anyone who would be interested. Respond to this ad!
Any ideas or suggestions would be well appreciated. And very rewarding I am sure. I was In India taking care of rescue puppies and dogs afew month ago. I can't express how rewarding it was. But I can't go now. Since I have to work to send money for a new animal rescue place which is being build as we speak.

I do believe in fate, as I got a second chance. I was put in a drop box at a local shelter in the middle of the night. Someone found me and my litter mates and just put us there. It was cold and scary. I waited in the shelter for 5 days, but no one came to save me. I was going to be put to sleep. See, there were too many other kittens being dropped off and they no longer had room for me. I just know that a nice lady from a rescue group saw me and decided to give me one more chance. She saved me just a half of an hour before I was going to be sent off to kitty heaven.
If you are a stable, loving person who could provide a warm, safe home for the rest of my life, that would really make me happy. I love other cats and kittens.I have sort of short hair, with a few soft, willowy whisps, making my coat real nice to touch. I love to be held, and get all excited and start to purr and can't stop. I need to be in a home without small children. I was born in April, and am very much a baby! I am neutered, leukemia tested (negative). I am completely vaccinated and have been dewormed, too. I notice how anxious dogs are that are tied up outside grocery stores and the joy they feel when their owner returns. Their faces are fixated on the store door.
How must this former pet feel when he will never see his owner again. And if he doesn't get adopted, his life will not continue.
The dog did respond after a time to the volunteer that loved and petted him and began to slowly wag his tail.
But, the dog is still obviously waiting for his owner to return and is feeling depressed as any loyal pet would be...to be left behind.

Dogs want to be happy and this dog could bond with a new owner. But, for now, he is grieving the loss of his old owner. She is Border Collie and Sharpei mix and is thought to be about 7 yrs old. She is white with medium length hair and has orange on her head-oh so cute! She weighs about 60 pounds.

She came from San Mateo SPCA at about age 14 mos.

My mom passed away in December, Fiona needs a new home ASAP. I have kept her at my rental place, but now she needs a new family to love.

She comes well-eqipped: dog house, leash, collar, wet and dry food, bowls, shampoo, brush, pooper-scooper, 25 ft lead (that we use at the Lake). She just had "work" done at the vet, so has her shots and such.

I would love to show her to you-can you call me real soon? She will like you, I'm sure!

At Paws & Claws, we provide In-Home Pet Sitting Service. Your pet will have the comfort of staying home while you are away; Surrounded by all their familiar and favorite toys, bedding, & food. We come to them in their own home. While in their home, we will give them fresh food from their own stock, water, clean any little messes that they may have left and give them TLC. At your option, we could also take them for a walk around the neighborhood.

Also, at your option and at no additional charge, we can give your home that lived in look by picking up the newspaper, taking in your mail, rotate the lighting and window coverings. We can also take your BFI receptacles out on your scheduled pick-up days and bring them back in after pick-up. Just that extra added touch!

We provide once or twice a day dog walking services. We go to your home and walk your dog in and around your neighborhood.

PRIVATE (CAGELESS) BOARDING
At Paws & Claws, we provide a unique method of boarding. With Private Boarding, your pet will stay in our own approved homes. At the approved provider’s home, your pet will not be caged like other boarding facilities. They will enjoy the freedom of the house and large yard. They will receive the same care as our In-Home Pet Sitting Service, plus enjoy much more play time. Since many of us have our own pets, you must have prior approval.

QUALIFICATIONS
Your dog must meet the following qualifications:
1. Pass our temperament screening
2. Male dogs must be neutered by 1 year of age, or earlier if their behavior is affected negatively
3. All female dogs must be spayed regardless of age.
4. Current on the following vaccinations:
a. DHLPP (or similar)
b. Bordetella (kennel cough)
c. Rabies
5. On an approved form of topical flea & heartworm control. Acceptable products are:
a. Frontline
b. Advantage
c. Revolution
d. Interceptor (Heartworm prevention)
6. Is house broken.
7. Known not to chew on household items
8. Known not to be a problem barker
These policies are for the safety and welfare for the pets that stay at our approved homes. Space is limited.
