Basic Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field
<br>
• At least 1 year experience in editorial capacity

• Excellent knowledge of grammar and command of the English language

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

The Copy Editor will work with our content development team to develop and maintain interactive, online content for undergraduate courses.  This is a freelance, off-site opportunity.<br>

Specific Responsibilities:<br>
<br>
•	Work directly with authors, reviewers, and production staff to ensure the assigned projects are delivered on schedule and reflect our editorial standards <br>
•	Copyedit problem sets and other online content for clarity, consistency, and adherence to our style guide; proofread material online; check changes; and conduct comparison reads <br>
<br>
Basic Qualifications Required:<br>
<br>
•	Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communication, or related subject<br>
•	At least 2 years experience in an editorial capacity<br>
•	Solid hands-on copyediting experience<br>
•	Excellent knowledge of grammar and command of the English language<br>
•	Must have experience with CMS (15th edition) <br>
•	Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)<br>
•	Attentiveness to detail and excellent organizational skills<br>
•	Must have experience with Arbortext XML Editor<br>

Preferred Qualifications:<br>

•	Master’s degree in English, Journalism, Communication, or related subject<br>
•	Familiar with Canadian/Australian English<br>
•	Experience with APA (5th edition)<br>
