A division of a major non-profit group in Palo Alto is recreating their existing website to improve usability; they need ~50 pages of material edited into web style copy. The division's staff is organizing existing information - Qs&As and descriptive narrative material - onto pages of the new site. The material they designate for each page must be edited into a consistent web writing style (i.e., concise, bulleted, interlinked) and voice across all pages of the site.
Candidate ...
- Must have strong editorial skills including grammar, spelling, and editing for consistent voice.
- Must have web writing or similar editing experience. Please send links to your work on the web wherever possible.
- Should have own computer. Prefer competence with Dreamweaver and/or Contribute.
- Ideal candidate will be able to help us develop some rigor with respect to search engine optimization.
Hours are flexible. Work on-site at our Palo Alto office several times at outset, then flexible as to location - final deliverables may require on-site collaborative work with page designer. Work is part time and will start approximately Nov. 9.

- Compensation: The division has a typical, thin non-profit budget. Will consider range of hourly rates based on indications of past quality, productivity and skills. Indicate your expected hourly rate or willingness to work at a fixed fee for a defined set of deliverables.
