Aviation Ground Handling company is seeking the following:
GSE MECHANIC(starting out part time 30 -32 hrs. - flex schedule)
Job Description: Experienced auto/diesel mechanic or aviation ground support equipment mechanic with expertise in electrical and hydraulic systems and minimum of 3 years experience.
Experienced rebuilding engines, transmissions and differentials.
Ability to work various shifts including weekends and holidays. Possess ability to use computers for record keeping and troubleshooting.
Must have own tools.
Duties: Work safely and maintain all aviation ground-handling equipment in a safe condition, in all weather conditions.
Technical Requirements: Strong background in electrical and hydraulics. Must be able to troubleshoot and repair.
Prefer Airport Experience
RAMP AGENT SUPERVISOR, with Proven Background: (MUST have wide body CARGO aircraft experience)
The ideal candidate must be reliable, must be able to motivate a team, have high energy combined with enthusiasm and a positive attitude, able to manage a group of 15.
Provide "hands on" supervision of agents involved upload and download of cargo onto Boeing 747F, and any ad-hoc requests as needed.
Operate Ground Equipment including baggage tugs, belt loaders, pushback tractors, and airstair operations
Ability to lift up to 70 pounds repetitively
All flights are between 12am and 5am daily
MAIL SORTERS (Seasonal Holiday work 32 hours a week)
Loads and unloads conveyances by hand.
Scanning background helpful
Moves materials within or near work site.
Stacks materials for storage and transport.
Manually separates items by code labels.
Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases or containers.
Counts, weighs and records numbers of units of materials moved or handled.
Two shifts 6pm to 11pm or 11pm to 5am.
REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal candidate must be reliable, have high energy combined with enthusiasm and a positive attitudes.
Able to read and write English
Must be at least 18 years old
Valid drivers license and excellent driving record
Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
Must have authorization to work in the U.S. as defined in the Immigrations Act of 1986
Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent
Active Port Authority ID & 6 months previous ramp exp. a plus
