There is an immediate opening within our Information Technology Department for an experienced individual with the background, talents and interests listed below. This is a "temp to perm" position which could be converted to a regular position as early as three to four months after hire, depending upon the demonstrated performance during that timeframe. Job Duties:
· Maintain workstation hardware, software, printers, and connectivity, in a Windows XP LAN/wireless environment.
· Support company employees and contractors in their use of workstations, desktop applications and I.T. systems.
· Manage the company’s Nortel Meridian phone system.
· Perform daily I.T. operations, e.g., backup, and troubleshooting.
· Administer user accounts.
· Provide end user and system support for finance system: Navision
· Manage the company’s VPN for remote access.
· Manage workstation procurement, setup, inventory, and repairs.
· Interact with I.T. and telecommunications vendors
Qualifications:
* 2-4 years experience supporting networks and IT users
* Bachelor’s degree
* Microsoft certification desirable
* Good knowledge of Windows XP, Active Directory, Exchange, Microsoft Office 2007
* Understanding of TCP/IP networking
* Strong PC/Laptop/Windows troubleshooting skills
* Good interpersonal and communication skills
* Initiative and ability to work with little supervision
