The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for maintaining and supporting Mid-Peninsula Housing’s integrated software applications. He or she is responsible developing report queries, performing data imports/exports, and identifying support solutions. The Business Systems Analyst participates in software implementation tasks.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Business Systems Implementation
• Participates in implementation project planning and creates work plans based on Business requirements. Performs project implementation task including data entry or data imports. Documents software implementation tasks including application settings.
Business Systems Maintenance & Reporting
• Designs and performs database queries to export data and develop reports using data from multiple systems. Designs and conducts quality control procedures to ensure the security and integrity of Mid-Peninsula Housing’s data. Creates documentation on quality control, security and reporting procedures.
Software Documentation & Training
• Works with Business Systems Department staff to identify solutions to common problems. Creates knowledge base entries for department and end-user solutions. Updates software documentation to adapt procedures to Mid-Peninsula’s policies.
Business Systems Support & Troubleshooting
• Identifies solutions and provides application support to staff via phone and remote support sessions. Documents support activities including solutions to common problems. Works with software application vendors to troubleshoot problems.
QUALIFICATIONS

• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience supporting database applications
• Strong understanding of relational database designs
• Experience designing database quires and developing custom reports
• Experience implementing software applications and software upgrades
• Experience documenting software procedures
• Strong written/verbal communication skills.
• Solid understanding of accounting software applications
• Experience with property management and affordable housing compliance software preferred.
• Project Management experience preferred
• Some local travel required
• Must have valid California driver’s license, automobile insurance and reliable transportation
