Their media control platform enables content owners to manage diverse distribution resources, gain live insights and scale with optimal economics to deliver the best quality online viewing experience. Our client was started by two professors from Carnegie Mellon and UC Berkeley. Last year our client secured $20M in funding by top venture firms NEA, Foundation Capital, and UV Partners.
In 2009, our client has announced several significant new customers including NBC and Indy Racing League. The company is expanding operations to meet the needs of these and other new, yet to be announced, customers.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Quality Engineering department is looking for a motivated self-starter to join their team. You are a quality oriented, self motivated, and excited to learn new technologies.
You adapt to changes quickly, and have a passion for meeting technical challenges under aggressive deadlines.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
You will take part in development and implementation of test automation to ensure the quality of our complex coordinated video distributed system. You will play a key role in helping the company to ship high quality products.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
• 3+ years of testing automation and/or software development
• Experience with programming and scripting language: C/C++, Perl, and Python (Python is a must)
• Excellent analytical, debugging , and problem solving skills
• Strong knowledge of Linux command line and SQL
• Knowledge of test plan and test case development is a plus
• Knowledge of testing web based application is a plus
QUALIFICATIONS
• Good understanding of software development and testing
• Excellent analytical, debugging , and problem solving skills
• Test strategy development
• Self motivated
• BS in CS/CE of equivalent
• Masters or a PhD Degree in Computer Science is a plus
