Linux Systems Administrator - Gate Keeper for New Application Deployment

In this critical role you will employ your technical savvy to design and execute the smooth transition of new engineering products from our development environment onto our globally utilized "live" platform. Your history of load balancing, capacity planning and designing best practices for deploying applications on to production frameworks while ensuring optimal performance, availability and reliability will be the key to your success.

Based in our Menlo Park, CA headquarters you will call upon your honed Linux administration experience on large-scale web server farms and your deep knowledge of pre-deployment planning to ensure forward-looking and error-free porting of new applications into production mode. Strong knowledge of Linux kernel configuration, performance tuning and systems management and monitoring will give you the foundation needed. A track record of successful deployments, provisioning and developing best administration practices will be crucial to your success. Perl and bash scripting teamed with knowledge of Apache, PostgreSQL, and networking/service infrastructures will cap of the experience needed for this role. The continuation of our dynamic growth will be hinged upon your technical acumen and the ability to introduce new systems to our customers that perform at optimum levels.
