Great Family Trailer - 19' Prowler - Easy to Tow! (palo alto) $4000

This is a 1989 hard to find 19 foot Prowler trailer with everything. Great family trailer (it even has a nice hot water heater and bathtub to dunk the kids in before bed).

It is easy to tow with a Ford Explorer or similar vehicle. We are upgrading and want to get rid of the Prowler quickly which explains the low price.

The previous owner was an Electrical Engineer and put in many upgrades including a TV with a retractable antennae and cable hookup, a huge AC, and a microwave.

Again, all appliances, electrical, and water and waste systems works perfectly. I will spend time with you showing you how to operate everything before you leave the driveway.

There are a couple issues:

- The door got banged by a recycling bin by our gardener and the fiberglass is pulling away from the frame. The dorr still works fine and it tows fine it just looks bad and can be fixed. See below picture.

- The pulldown couch has a few busted springs. It is fine for kids to sleep on but I tried and it hurt my back so I went upstairs to the nice fold down bunk.

My Adventurewagen runs like it's new, with only 2,200 miles on its new engine and just 102,000 original miles. I have spent around $15,500 on this wonderful van and it runs great! The big items include:
New 2.1 L engine (like the original)
New clutch
New distributor
New muffler
Also, new Wildcat all-season tires and Bilstein shocks were installed 3 years ago. I love it but I don't get to use it like I'd like.

Inside, it is clean and cozy with a Kenwood CD player, new custom seat covers, a hardwood steering wheel that matches the oak interior and the original vinyl flooring is covered with a removable carpet.

The van has a deep-cell second battery and the stove works well and the fridge works when connected to the inverter.
I have the original owner's manuals and the Bentley repair manual as well as organized service and repair records for the past few years, with photos from the engine installation. The van just had an oil change and received a clean bill of health from Franklin's VW Werks.

It's a West Coast van with no rust damage and carfax says it has never been in a collision. It does have a small dent on the passenger side from a run-in with a gas pump (see photo).

What is an Adventurewagen?
Designed by Ed Andersen, the Adventurewagen is a great year-round camper. With its insulated hard top, you can camp almost anywhere plus you have more than 6 feet of headroom and three times the storage space of a Westy! This includes an overhead storage bin, a hanging closet, and even spice racks and can storage.

The van sleeps four, with two above and two below, like a Westfalia. However, the lower bed folds out over the seats and stores ready-made with sheets and pillows. Plus, it has a full-size bench seat that seats three adults.

Unlike a Westy, the galley is next to the door, so you can cook inside or outside with plenty of ventilation. Plus there's a large sunroof and awning-style windows that can even be open in the rain. The van is balanced with the sink on the driver's side including an aluminum 13-gallon pressurized water tank with gray-water storage. There's even a paper-towel holder!
