Diamond Systems, a US company headquartered in Mountain View, California, is a leading supplier of highly integrated and compact embedded computer boards. We are currently recruiting for a Manufacturing and Test Engineer with responsibilities for engineering design verification, manufacturing test and support, and repair of PCB assemblies. Principal tasks include:

• Conduct engineering design verification activities and provide test reports to help qualify new products for release.
• Develop, install, and maintain production test fixtures for computer boards at our local and international contract manufacturers.
• Provide ongoing manufacturing engineering support, including component selection, resolution of technical issues, and providing documentation and drawings.
• Troubleshoot processor, digital, and analog circuits to the component level in conjunction with our test and repair department.
• Manage inspection at local Contract Manufacturer sites and in the receiving department to verify product quality prior to delivery.
• Make recommendations to improve production test procedures and assist in implementing new procedures.

Qualifications:
Successful candidate will have 5+ years of progressive experience in the electronics manufacturing industry and minimum BSEE degree. Additional qualifications to include:

• Experience conducting design verification test on PCB assemblies and providing detailed reports
• Electronics laboratory experience (use of test equipment, understanding of test methodologies, ESD precautions, etc.)
• Ability to test and debug analog and digital circuits to component level
• Ability to read and understand electronic schematics
• Ability to write thorough test procedures
• Ability to perform basic soldering of PTH and SMT assemblies.
• Excellent written and spoken communications skills
• Supervisory experience highly desired
