Diamond Systems Corporation (www.diamondsystems.com) is a US-based manufacturer of embedded computers and I/O boards whose products are used in industrial, medical, military, and scientific applications around the world. We have an immediate opening for a Document Control Specialist.
The qualified applicant will serve as the primary point of contact for all engineering and manufacturing document changes and archival, and will work with document owners and requestors to initiate, route, process, review, and release controlled documents.
This job includes the following responsibilities:
- Maintain the part numbering system
- Manage Bills of Materials
- Manage the engineering change order (ECO) process in a timely and thorough fashion
- Assist in the development and maintenance of internal technical documentation (such as Assembly instructions, Rework instructions, Engineering Change Orders, Corrective Action Requests, etc)
- Administer and maintain the Electronic Document Control Software System for archival, distribution, and updates of product and other company documentation
- Manage first article approval process and gold standards
- Interface with contract manufacturers to provide required documentation and support
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of document control experience in a technical environment is required.
- Minimum of an Associate Degree, prefer BA/BS degree.
- Very strong technical communication skills - oral, written, and presentation are required.
- Flexible interpersonal style for working with a variety of personality types is required.
- Fluency with MS Office tools is required.
- Fluency in the English language is required and 2nd language skills are a plus.
- Coursework in electronic/computer sciences is a plus.
- Familiarity with Macola or other MRP software is a plus.
- Familiarity with ISO9000 is a plus.
