PlayHaven is one of the fastest growing gaming startups on the web. We provide an online universe of fan communities around games, giving developers the instant power of community and gamers a new place to gather and engage with each other.
We're looking for someone to join our small team. The ideal candidate loves games and technology, is willing to challenge conventional wisdom, isn’t afraid to try new things, and loves to create high quality, engaging environments for the users.
This is a part-time position.
Role and Responsibilities
* Manage and engage with the entire PlayHaven community.
* Answer customer support emails about site issues and questions.
* Identify site issues and pass along relevant feedback to the PlayHaven core team.
* Planning and executing creative methods to engage users.
Requirements
* You absolutely love games. You live and breathe games. You stay current with gaming news and are opinionated on where the industry is going.
* You also play games on the iPhone or iPod Touch.
* Passion for helping others.
* Excellent work ethic and attention to detail. Very organized.
* Previous community management experience (e.g. forum moderation).
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Nice-to-Have's
* Startup experience.
* Existing membership with multiple online gaming communities.
* Early adopter of social networks.
