Specialty cake studio is looking to hire experienced baker/decorator. We are seeking hard worker with strong baking and decorating experience and an artistic sensibility. Candidates should have a strong work ethic, a friendly/upbeat personality, thrive in a group setting, but work well alone, and have good organizational skills. Prior decorating experience is a must. Candidate will be expected to prep batters and fillings, cut and decorate detailed cakes and cookies to order, fill, frost and finish cakes, as well as consult on designs and manage and coordinate orders. Pastry school, art school training and extensive on the job experience are required. Job requires clean up duties, including dish washing and end of shift clean up.
Hours for position are Tuesday to Friday 8 am to 3 pm, sometimes Saturday may be required.
Please send resume and several portfolio photos of cakes that show your decorating skills, including piping, fondant, buttercream finish, wedding cakes, sugar decorations. Interviews to be held over next two weeks. Position to start immediately.
Rate is $10/hr to start.
