This position is with a high-end residential construction company. We are looking for an individual that can pair their carpentry skills with management and communication skills. The Assistant Superintendent must be able to work and communicate well with site personnel and subcontractors and be able to work with little supervision. This person along with the Superintendent/Project Manager sets the behavior policies and standards for all workers on site by overseeing and monitoring the efficiency and quality of work crews on site.

Duties of the position:
-Coordination and supervision of site procedures and work
-Knowledge and understanding of construction layout coordination of trades
-General understanding of construction from concrete to finish
-Ensure security of the jobsite and tools at the end of each work day
-Ensure the jobsite is orderly and free of hazardous conditions and debris
-Monitor the arrival and departure of authorized personnel on site
-Communicate and enforce company policies, safety standards and precautions
-Assist Superintendent in defining tasks and time frames to company personnel and subcontractors

Requirements of the position:
-Ability to read and understand plans and scopes of the projects
-Computer skills: CAD, Outlook, Microsoft Project (preferred by not required)
-Written and verbal communication skills
-Bilingual skills are a plus
