Summary of Position: Responsible for the overall management of construction projects. The successful candidate will work to have projects completed on time and to the clients satisfaction.
Essential Duties:
Develop and implement policies, standards and procedures for the quality and execution of the technical work performed in the department.
Coordinate and direct projects, seeing that all aspects are successfully managed, including, budgeting, bidding, profitability, timely completion, adequate staffing levels, customer satisfaction, and technical quality of work.
Work with other division and department managers to plan and ensure the accomplishment of company goals.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 5+ years experience as a Construction Manager or Structure Representative
PE License is required
Transportation experience
Knowledge of Caltrans plans, specifications and all bridge manuals
Freeway and highway experience a plus
BS in Engineering
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven excellent client relationship skills
Working Conditions:
Requires extensive physical exertion during on-site inspection
Will require physical flexibility and dexterity, including the ability to continually stand, bend, stoop, reach, crouch and climb.
May require sitting for long periods of time.
Working with detailed, finely printed documents
Requires driving, visiting work sites and clients
