Position Description
Lead safety support, respond to concerns, conduct training. Develop and implement safety policies and programs; review safety plans and training records; review and evaluate construction permits; inspect construction sites; and provide training. Investigate mishaps and analyze and report data; develop and implement self-assessment programs; coordinate Voluntary Protection Programs (VPP); and conduct inspections and monitor progress meeting Continuous Improvement Program Goals.
Required Skills
10 yrs in the development and implementation of safety policies and programs. Management experience: coordinating and leading relevant tasks including supervision of 5 to 10 staff. Good written and verbal communications skills and interpersonal skills. Knowledgeable of the regulations contained in the Uniform Building Code, Uniform Fire Code, OSHA standards, and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards.
Certifications: CSP (Certified Safety Professional)
Must be able to pass a security background check.
Education
BA/BS in Safety Engineering, Engineering, related discipline, or equivalent experience.
