Project Manager for Green Custom Residential Builder

We are Construction Management Firm and General Contractor specializing in high end sustainable residential custom construction (many current projects are zero energy homes), both new homes and major home renovations. Our Mountain View based firm is looking for an EXPERIENCED RESIDENTIAL project manager experienced in residential custom construction and who is knowledgeable in green construction materials and methodologies.
Candidates must be able to manage every phase of a construction project from start to finish including; read plans, do take-offs, be knowledgeable about California Building Codes and have the ability to evaluate the quality of the work of ALL building trades. Must also have strong communication skills, very strong knowledge of construction scheduling and budgeting, and be motivated and excited about green building.
***ALL FOLLOWING MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED***:
- Minimum 5 Years experience in Residential construction management with full start to finish project management responsibilities (you know how to build a house from the ground up)
- Minimum 5 years bidding and contracting experience on residential jobs
- Working knowledge of ALL residential construction trades
- Minimum 5 years experience with client communication and management as the primary client contact on an entire residential construction project
- Good familiarity with California Building Codes
- Well versed in construction contract documents
- A good working knowledgeable in MS Word, Excel, Project, Outlook (email) and other basic software
- Green building knowledge (LEEDap, CGBP, Green Point Rating experience all a plus)
- Strong Construction Scheduling ability (MS Project preferred)
- Planning and organizational skills and experience as project lead
- Very strong negotiation and communication skills
- Budgeting and cost accounting knowledge (high level job costing)
- Leadership and motivation skills and ability to manage others
- A solid work history in Construction with longevity at past positions
