We are seeking a freelance writer to create a monthly company newsletter featuring such areas as sales highlights, industry news, market/financial trends, and product information. We envision this being a marketing piece of two to three pages in length intended for our corporate customers. You will work directly with our owner. We do not require technical writing – we are looking for someone who can tell our company’s stories in a friendly way using descriptive language vs. numbers.

Must be creative and willing to pitch story ideas, possess strong communication skills including clarity of thought, professionalism, and experience writing for corporate clients. Ability to tell the story and quickly understand our industry, which is wholesale and low-tech. Experience in PR or journalism a plus. As this is an independent contractor position, we require someone who is highly organized, accustomed to meeting deadlines and working independently, excellent attention to detail. Previous experience as a project manager of a newsletter highly desirable (oversee layout, printing vendors, etc.).
