Yeah, you'd have to have a few screws loose to work for us.
But if you survive the experience, you'll get some of the best training -- and referrals -- possible.
What we need and what you know:
-- moderate to decent web design (Flash? You know it? Oh, that's nice. We don't.);
-- you know how to use Wordpress to build a killer web site;
-- writing/editing skills (can you craft a cover letter that will get you an interview because it starts with anything but "I want a challenging position with your company"?)
-- some sense of graphic design;
-- an energy that pegs you as either on some drug or simply passionate about making projects succeed;
-- a desire to learn;
-- an interest in children's lit;
-- a sense of humor (oh God, you'll need it);
-- the ability to take on multiple assignments.
What we'll do for you if you make the cut:
-- pay you a monthly stipend during a three-month try-us-out period and we'll cover meals;
-- hire you if you work out at the end of that;
-- or refer you if you decide to work for people who can really afford you.
Okay, so send us a creative cover letter that will blow us away. And please do not use any of that standard crap template language. Write to amuse. Write to impress. Write to show, well you can write.
We'll respect you a lot more in the morning.
