I am a GC doing primarily residential remodeling. With business as slow as it has been, it's pretty much a one man show right now, but in order to try and get as much new work as we can, I have to get out and meet with new clients, and can't do everything by myself.
So I am looking for someone who would enjoy working in an environment where one day you might be installing cabinets next to me, and then next day, you might be working a job by yourself setting fence posts, and eventually perhaps leading a crew. Some days a carpenter, some days an excavator, some days a drywall guy, etc. Basically, I need someone who likes all facets of construction and doesn't shy away from certain tasks that they may feel are 'beneath" them.
As for time, as those of us in the industry know, there's only so much work right now out there, so I can't promise full time, or even that there won't be days I don't have any work for you. However, my goal is to be poised to undertake as much new work as we can as things hopefully turn around.
The ideal candidate will have experience in quality and craftsman level work in residential, and a desire to "do anything" and do it right! You should be passionate about construction, for example love This Old House, etc., and not just looking to punch a timeclock.
