ARE YOU A 15TH CENTURY WITCH-HUNTER, OR A PROSECUTED WOMAN DOOMED TO THE STAKE?
Male and female actors needed: ages 20-65 (SF Bay Area, CA)
Hoff Productions, a Bay Area television production company, is producing historical re-enactments for a major cable company channel on an ancient manuscript and its savage influence throughout the European Renaissance era. We are looking for lead actors to portray the following:
Heinrich Kramer: Caucasian male lead. Age late 50s to 60s.
Jacob Sprenger: Caucasian male lead. Age 50s.
Helen S.: Caucasian female lead. Age late 20s or early 30s.
Bishop: Caucasian male lead. Age 40s to 50s.
Alizon Device: Caucasian female lead. Age early to mid 20s.
Count Ulrich Von Helfesnstein: Caucasian male lead. Age 50s.
We are also going to need approximately 40-45 actors for minor roles and extras to play accused witches, bishops, friars, townspeople, etc. These roles include male and female parts, ages 20-65.
Actors will be responsible for their own hair and makeup. Though these roles do not include dialogue, you must have a believable delivery and a subtle approach to period acting.
This is a non-union shoot. Four days of shooting in the approximate window of December 1-4th in the Northern California area. Not every character will be needed for the full four days.
