<description><![CDATA[SUMMARY:   The IT Assistant provides support to agency staff to make the best use of technology to achieve the agencys mission.  Community Action Partnership of Sonoma County (Community Action) is a private non-profit organization known for the excellent partnerships it creates with families and communities with programs such as: Head Start, Health Services, Youth Services, Youth Build and Housing Services.  What is less visible is the vital role that support staff plays in facilitating an effective office environment.  We are recruiting for someone who loves the challenge of making technology work, helping people understand and better utilize technology, and who supports the agencys mission of advocating for low-income people.  This position works closely under the supervision of the IT supervisor. <br>

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: <br>
1.	Provide application support including Microsoft office suite PDA software and other office application software for staff in a timely and courteous manor.<br>
2.	Work in partnership with other IT staff to maintain and repair staff workstations:<br>
a.	PC setup for new employees including hardware, software, & other peripherals; user and system network connections; and user orientation.<br>
b.	Regular maintenance and upgrades of the data communications, including workstations, PDAs, and peripherals.  <br>
c.	Perform troubleshooting for hardware and software crashes, network connectivity, printer connections, paper jams and other problems.<br>
d.	Perform anti-virus and Spyware updates and regular scans. <br>
e.	Regular maintenance and upgrades of the data communications equipment, including workstations, printers, PDAs, and other peripherals. <br>
f.	Daily back-ups.<br>
g.	Document IT procedures, policies and infrastructure.<br>
3.	Maintain an inventory of computer hardware, peripherals, and software licenses including appropriate documentation. Recommend changes, updates and upgrades as needed. <br>
4.	Setup and install new workstations and broadband connectivity for peripheral locations.<br>
5.	Be conversant, and become increasingly knowledgeable, about all software applications currently in use at Community Action sites.  Be able to provide support and training to users of those programs. <br>
6.	Oversee availability and setup of technology equipment available for check-out.<br>
7.	Assist remote site employees with technology issues generally via telephone, remote desktop and in-person when necessary.  <br>
8.	Properly dispose of obsolete equipment. <br>
9.	Create and conduct staff training programs. <br>
10.	Be available as part of the IT staff to provide support through our Community Capacity Building program to other non-profits as assigned.<br>
11.	Comply with Community Action Sonoma Policies and Procedures.<br>
12.	Participate in agency orientation and diversity workshops.<br>
13.	Other duties as assigned. <br>
<br>
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: <br>
 <br>
	Minimum one year of experience with computer set-up, maintenance and troubleshooting problems required.  Ability to perform these tasks with minimal supervision.  <br>
	Proficient with Microsoft software including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Power Point<br>
	Demonstrated ability to research and solve problems independently using a variety of resources and tools. <br>
	Proficient in Window operating systems and familiar with Window security.<br>
	Ability and desire to learn about and support technology at Community Action including our 20 sites around Sonoma County.  This includes some program specific software applications such as ChildPlus, IBS & ABRA, and Fundware.  <br>
	Formal computer science coursework, certificate(s) in IT/IS skills, or equivalent experience.<br>
	Ability to provide system orientation and technical assistance to individuals at varied skill levels.  Effective communication skills required.  <br>
	Must have good follow-up and organizational skills with ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks.<br>
	Must have a reliable vehicle & insurance, be prepared to use it on agency business (mileage reimbursed) and possess a valid California drivers license and a good driving record.    <br>

Sonoma State University, located 48 miles north of San Francisco, is one of the 23 campuses of the California State University.  Our beautiful campus is located in the Wine Country at the foot of the Sonoma hills.<br>
<br>
The Position: Under the general supervision of the Director of Network Security and Communication Services (NSCS), this position will be responsible for comprehensive configuration and troubleshooting of the voice, video, and data communication systems used by 7,000 faculty, students, and staff.  Primary duties include providing daily complex configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting support for Cisco, Aruba, Juniper, PacketShaper/Blue Coat, and Netscaler, switches, routers, firewalls, virtual private network concentrator, security event monitoring, and load balancers.  Provide proactive network repair response by monitoring network management systems and analyzing network performance before campus customers are affected by anomalous network behavior; provide in-depth Tier 2 network troubleshooting support; perform diagnostic assessments of complex network failures, formulate appropriate and corrective action plans, document and report all troubleshooting efforts, and update campus notifications for service outages as needed; perform in-depth failure analysis on complex network service outages; provide training and documentation to the NSCS staff on successful diagnostic methods, outage prevention measures, and system upgrades; assist with the configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of firewalls protecting the campus border, network operations center, and other critical components of the network infrastructure; develop and implement static and dynamic access control lists on network wireless controllers, routers, and switches; configure and monitor network security systems and applications such as VPN concentrators, network authentication systems including 802.1x, captive portal, and Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service (RADIUS) systems; detect network security violations; verify security violations through research and forensics; perform network port shutdown; notify violators for instances of virus infection, bandwidth over-consumption, digital copyright violations, and other forms of network abuse; act as a project lead or subject matter expert in the specification and/or execution of technical tasks and milestones on assigned projects; and refine, modify, enhance existing software tools for the measurement and analysis of network traffic.  Position requires occasional travel, including by car and airplane and may require occasional work outside normal campus business hours in order to perform upgrades, maintenance, and to make repairs.<br>

Qualifications: Requires a bachelors degree in computing sciences or a directly related field and a minimum of five years of progressively responsible technical experience in wired and wireless switching, routing, and security.  Additional experience beyond the minimum five years that demonstrates acquisition and successful application of the skills, knowledge, and abilities identified above may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year-by-year basis.  Cisco Certified Network Associate certification within the last three years required; Cisco Certified Network Professional certification desired.   Requires demonstrated analytical skills; ability to work independently, establish priorities, and exercise good judgment; in-depth mastery of command-line structure and graphical user interface management applications used to configure and monitor Juniper/Cisco firewalls, Aruba controllers, Cisco routers and access servers, and Netscaler load balancers; in-depth knowledge of ethernet technologies (e.g. virtual route forwarding, virtual local area network, link access control protocol, and rapid spanning tree protocol).  Experience troubleshooting routing protocols (e.g. border gateway protocol  and open shortest path first). Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting network appliances (e.g. Cisco Network Registrar, nGenius Performance Manager) and security event correlation appliances (e.g. Cisco Monitoring, Analysis and Response). Strong knowledge of network security including writing access control lists, network and host-based firewalls and intrusion prevention systems; demonstrated knowledge of security best practices; hands-on experience with network security analysis tools (e.g. nmap, nessus, snort).  Demonstrated expertise troubleshooting wireless local area networks utilizing 802.11a/b/g/n.  Proficient in decoding packet capture output to diagnose the root cause of complex network failures.  Excellent written and oral communication skills to develop reports, project plans, proposals, information pieces, operations and maintenance procedures, and to interact tactually with diverse campus population, consultants, and vendors.  Requires the ability to provide high level technical assistance to technical workforce in the resolution of abnormal operating conditions; react quickly and rationally during emergency situations; possess tact and diplomacy skills appropriate for training and consulting with people of varied backgrounds; work with a diverse group of people to build high morale and group commitment to goals and objectives; willingness and ability to learn and apply new technologies; effectively employ excellent communication skills allowing collaborative communication with both technical and non-technical personnel; apply overall policies and long-term direction to network systems operations and implementation activities; work effectively as part of a loosely structured team to provide network services to end-users; develop standards and procedures for technical staff and customers; demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills; establish and maintain collaborative working relationships; listen to the user, ascertain the problem, and provide courteous, timely solutions to their voice and data network problems; and provide outstanding customer service to students, staff, and faculty while working in a professional environment.. 	<p>TVWorks is recruiting a Technical Support Engineer to join its Deployment Services team in Mill Valley.  In this position, you will be part of a team responsible for providing engineering level technical support to external customers and partners for our iTV digital application systems.</p>
	
	<p>The Deployment Services group deploys and supports applications for several production environments along with providing the same level of support for development and test labs. The Systems Engineer will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of various server and client applications  in a number of different environments. In this role, the Systems Engineer will diagnose, replicate and troubleshoot application issues received from the supported environments in an internal integration lab. This individual will be responsible for documentation pertaining to deployment and administrative processes and will participate in an on-call support rotation.  The Systems Engineer will also work closely with engineering to coordinate software and hardware evaluation, integration testing and release. </p>

The Water Agency Project Scheduling Analyst is responsible for administration and maintenance of the departments capital projects scheduling and project management system (Primavera P6). This position prepares project Gantt charts, develops, tests and documents processes to improve project management, project accounting and project database systems, and performs allied systems analysis. Responsibilities include: coordination and recording of data from all departments involved in projects, verification of data integrity, SQL based report writing, end user support and network administration for 60-70 users including adding users, assigning rights, and troubleshooting connectivity problems, developing reports using, and duties as required. <br>

The successful candidate will have a background in technical analysis including flow charting and project scheduling; experience using a project management system; solid SQL Server database skills and experience generating/writing reports using SQL or related report writing tools; end user support and basic network administration experience; and the ability to communicate well both orally and in writing. Additional background in GIS database development and/or general accounting practices are preferred as support of additional systems is anticipated. <br>

<b>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</b><br>

Education: Recent academic course work which relates directly to the knowledge and abilities. Normally, these courses would include computer science, engineering, and mathematics. Possession of an Associate of Science degree in computer science is highly desirable. <br>
