I am just a private citizen.

But, I am outraged by the use of illegal fireworks and the use or legal fireworks in areas not designated for them.

So, last night I hopped in my vehicle and drove around. When I saw violations I immediately called and reported said violators to the authorities.

I hope many people were issued expensive citations because of my actions. And, hopefully next year we'll have a few fewer people violating the law.

When I post an ad in W4M and say that I am a white woman who prefers a black man, my email inbox fills with hateful, mean racist comments. I am wondering, when white men post an ad looking for an asian woman, do they also receive hate mail? Is it racism that is sexist based and only woman who state a preference receive this garbage? This is Craigslist, people! You aren't likely to catch a dorado in the catfish tank! Even if this wasn't CL, do people really expect to find that perfect mate? What about farting? Bickering? Job loss? In laws? Step children? Snoring? Are you actually on CL thinking that you find Cinderella or Prince Charming who just happens to be single and perfect and has that just right chemistry that you're searching for, because you think, when I find him or her, then my life will be whole, complete and perfect. People are humans - they're good, they're bad, they're fickle, they're unpredictable, they're prone to whims...what about all those married people who post on CL looking for a "discreet" love affair to put some excitement back in their marriage. I'll tell you what, when you get caught by your spouse, then you're gonna have more excitement than you bargained for.

Omg I live in rhonet park and right on milbrae my neighbor has been setting up for a barn sale....did I sy barn sale? well it is in a barn the normal type of big barns but when you walk in its like a cute thrift store, its the best looking one I have seen, not barn I mean its the best looking thrift store type set up ever. Everything is all nice and neat and in sections like cute little girls section with hello kitty things, masks, toys,clothes, costumes everything you can think of. She has a jewelry section with tons of things for everyone, furiture, pictures and steros, tons of cds,, loads of cute clothes and shoes and days of back packs and purses. There is a section for men stuff , sports card binders full of cards and boxes of them to, planters and plants, lots of little things and loads of books and antiques like dolls and china, knic knacs and so much more you have to see it. Best thing she is selling things cheap.

Today is the 4th of July.

It's my mom's and my uncle's birthdays.

We went to dinner with my 90 year-old grandma at The Spinnaker in Sausalito because it's a nice restaurant, with good food, and you can see the fireworks if you're there late enough.

After a wonderful dinner, dessert, and the opportunity to see the fireworks from our table (which grandma really enjoyed because she didn't have to stand outside or freeze her butt off), I took grandma to the restroom before we got on the road back home. I passed up the regular restroom and we walked (her with cane) farther down the hall to the disabled restroom because I figured there wouldn't be a line and she could have more room. Well, there was a short line there as well, but that was okay, some nice woman gestured to the disabled stall and said, "Please go ahead, you'll just need to get some toilet paper." Someone in another stall overheard, handed me a small roll of TP and gma was set to go. I was so pleased with the general kindness of humanity when I noticed you hunkered over one of the two sinks. You'd obviously lost your dinner among other things and had completely messed it up. You were yammering to someone at the other sink, "Just call Analise! Just get Analise!" Woman at the sink was having none of your drunkass and replied, "Why don't you stop yelling, Analise isn't in here and I don't know where to find her." You were incoherent and yelling, "I've had TOO MUCH TO DRINK, I KNOW, THIS IS WHAT AMERICANS DO," as you splashed water on your face. You were swearing and spitting and falling out of the front of your dress as you bent over the sink, struggling to stay upright in your strappy sandals. You know what? You were a mess. A complete mess, and I didn't feel sorry for you at all.

While waiting for grandma to finish, a group of women entered the bathroom. You turned to them and yelled in your drunkass way, "I'm sorry, I'm so drunk! This is what Americans do." You noticed they weren't white and decided to ask them where they were from. The first woman replied, "FROM HERE." DUH drunk girl. Next woman, "I'm from L.A." Next woman, "Afghanistan." To which you reply with a whooop and a high five, "You're AWESOME, I'm SO SORRY YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS SIDE OF AMERICA, THIS IS WHAT WE DO, WE GET DRUNK."

Grandma came out of the stall and I guided her around you to the other sink. I was prepared to push your ass over if you came near my grandma. She washed, and as we exited the restroom, the group of women smiled and said they liked grandma's coat and she looked so nice. I thought so too. In all her 90 years, I know for a fact my grandma never got so fricking drunk she was making a spectacle of herself in a public restroom. Puking girl, you need to know that Americans are NOT about being drunk. You have a serious issue. And next time, try puking in the toilet, dumbass.

Michael would be alive today if it wasnt for that old and ugly santa barbara district attorney who brought child molestation charges twice and could not get a conviction. He should have reviewed the evidence carefully to determine if a conviction was likely and if it was not, he never should have filed criminal charges. But he did anyways because there was no down side for him. It was not his money he was spending, he could not be sued if he lost and look what he put poor Michael through. The human soul and spirit was not intended to go through all that stress. This was the begining of Michael's downfall. I did not honeslty think he would make it through that ordeal. He looked horrible and what about his poor mother who was with him in court every single day. Even that judge made him come to court when he obviously was not feeling well. Shame on him. The whole court process was like a circus, just what the district attorney wanted for trhe advancement of his career, but he lost, and was made to look like a complete asshole. He is probably secretly happy now that poor Michael is dead. Now, he finally can get that retribution he was always looking for. Thank goodness we have wonderful defense lawyers who work very hard to protect the innocent. Those young boys parents were all out for his millions even billions of dollars. No wonder the poor man had insomnia up all night worring about being wrongly convicted and serving prison time with real nasty smelly and hardened criminals who would like nothing more than but fuck that very handsome and sexy black man. I've been in long- term treatment and met 100's of people with NO tattoos who were pill junkies.
Couple of Dr's, quite a few nurses, tons of professional jobs. They All went to Dr's to get meds.

I spent the first 20 years of my 33 years of life growing up in Marin. I saw my first one in 1985 darting down the street in his spandex neon garb with a determined, self righteous gaze, a jaw sticking straight forward that would put Jay Leno to shame. Where was he going on his bicycle? What is at the end of his road? Over the years there seemed to be a gradual increase of these beings, and more often there would be sightings in the remote areas of west Marin. Being the curious teenager I was, I decided to test the patience of one of these strange invaders of our land, by throwing my Icee from Quick Stop at him when I figured I was at a safe distance. The hostile reaction I got in return was not at all what I expected. I was luckily in the shelter of a car, but was being chased down by what seemed to be the incredible hulk encased in a bright, neon chartreuse 7-11 logoed outfit. Bizarre, yet thrilling cannot describe it. He knew our language judging by the obscenities yelled, and seemed to have an abundance of rage. I wonder if he was exiled from his planet.

Lets fast forward to the year 2009, when I decided to move my family back to Marin after leaving in 1994 for economic reasons, believe it or not. I thought it would be neat to take a stroll down memory lane in San Anselmo, the town where my wife and I grew up. San Anselmo avenue was a sea of multicolored, logoed spandex beings waving various hand signals as they operated their bicycles. Being once again safe in a car driving down the street, I caught some hostile glares, as if I was somehow invading the nest, or utilizing the roadway in an unauthorized fashion. They must have rapidly reproduced during the years I was away, and had fully taken over my home town! I could not get out of there fast enough, as I feared for my wife and son's well being.

So here are my questions, for anyone who can answer them, as I am out of the loop so to speak.

-Where are they from?
-Are they taking away our public roadways as an initial tact to overthrow our planet?
-Are companies like Aetna, MetLife, 7-11, Shimano really sponsoring these activities?
-Are said corporations alien invaders themselves?
-Are the brightly colored neon outfits the uniform of the alien military? For what purpose does it serve?
-Can we learn anything from these beings for our own national defense?
-What are their weaknesses, beside short tempers?

Watching news reports on TV, with video footage of Sacramento legistlative offices, regarding the economic calamity that California is now in, it strikes me that office furnishings appear very expensive. Now, I am a 57 year old woman, have worked all my life, paid taxes, made a good living, however I haven't been able to afford to buy new furniture for 20 years. I get just about everything off CL or from thrift stores and repaint or repair and my house looks fine. These Calif. state offices have expensive furnishings, artwork, etc. Why the heck don't they work in cubicles or plain offices? Why do members of the legislature need thousands of dollars in furnishings in order to conduct business? Why, with their generous salaries, do they drive state vehicles, with gas allowance, per diem, etc? In my work, if I was doing such a poor job, I would be fired. In my job, if I asked for fancy furniture, I would be laughted at. Why are elected workers treated any different? When did we confuse government work with aristocracy? They should have a huge garage sale, raise money from the sale of all that art, mohagony office furniture, etc. and cover those IOU's. They're getting paid 2 to 3 times what I make (at least) so they should be required to buy or lease their own cars, pay for their gas, pay for their meals out, just like the rest of us. What health insurance benefits do they receive? I have to pay for my own health insurance - hundreds of dollars per month. I am tired of the disconnection between elected workers and those of us in the "general public". I work 2 jobs and haven't been able to buy groceries in 2 weeks while the do-nothing elected "officials" are eating expensive meals and working in their fancy office decorated with expensive rugs. Makes me sick. In my home I have trimmed and trimmed my budget - no meals out, no purchases of anything new (thrift stores or CL free list ony) basic cable, no haircuts, no dental appts, no tickets to performances, no nothing unless it's absolutely imperative. If I and my friends can do it, elected workers can do. Stop the insanity, trim the budget like there's no tomorrow, and get er done!

2 Jul 09 - Here�s a graph that shows clearly man is not responsible for climate change. At first you might think it�s the downward temperature trend indicated by the satellites or the fact that the temperatures are trending downward while the CO2 level (green line) continues to increase. That isn't it. What I think is proof is what is missing from the data.

After looking at the image below, do you see any evidence in the CO2 level of this massive global recession? Industrial output has been reduced but you can't tell. What about the significant drop in driving due to the 2008 oil crisis? No sign of that either. The global CO2 level continues to rise just as if we had nothing to do with it. Coincidence? Not hardly.

The BBQ post inspired me to share this old family recipe - when I was a kid, corn was 10 to 15 ears for a buck... This was GREAT even tho' you might not think soup on a hot day would be good.... I just finished a batch using 80 ears of corn to make about 5 gallons of soup for a family reunion tomorrow.

Grandpa Ned's Corn Soup Recipe

You might as well double this recipe now and save yourself a trip to the store. The recipe portions are very much flexible; mum never had a written recipe and would wing it. This is very tasty stuff and nobody knows if it can be frozen or stored because there�s never been any leftover.

6-8 ears yellow corn (white or a mix of white and yellow will work, but Ned would never have used white corn.) Naturally, you can use white corn if that�s what�s available, but �old skool� calls for yellow corn. You can also extend things with frozen cut corn, but fresh is best. Don�t use creamed corn, because it�s nasty, and it is far too sweet�

Half as much water as you are going to add milk

Twice as much milk as water that you�ve added.

Too much butter, unless you�re a kill-joy

Cornstarch to thicken the mash, because my mum (God rest her soul) said that today�s hybrid corn isn�t as starchy as the corn they used to make.

Salt and Pepper to taste

Saltines

A wee dram of whisky, or three

Serves 1 hungry, greedy, drunken cook.

Directions:

This is the messy/fun part � it�s best to use a tall pot because the corn mash tends to squirt all over as you scrape each cob of corn. You can put the pot in the sink to make it easier to clean up.

Shuck and de-silk the corn, then use a grater's zest side to break the kernel skins. Take a butter knife and scrape the length of the cob, rotating it to work you way around the entire ear. You want to have more corn mash than cut corn kernels. You can use a small knife to cut the kernels off of a few cobs so you have some nearly whole corn in the mix, but do scrape the cobs.

If you�re Scottish, you can set aside the scraped cobs and rinse them in a couple of cups of water or milk that will be used in the soup stock.

During preparation, add the wee dram(s) of whisky to the cook.

Once you have the corn mash, cook it gently over medium heat. Add the corn water as needed to thin the mash and stir it constantly to keep the mash from burning. Taste the mash mixture and keep cooking it until in no longer tastes �raw� � about 5-10 minutes or so after it has heated up. Add as little water as possible for a richer taste.

After the mash stock is cooked add up to twice as much milk as you did water and continue to heat until it�s at a serving temperature, stirring all the while. As you can tell, the ingredient portions are flexible, and I am merely related the instructions as Grampa told my mum. You may wish to thicken the stock with cornstarch and water, since the corn today isn�t as good as what they used to make. Cook the mix until it tastes �done� and is at a consistency you like.

This is the fun/fun part: Add butter, salt and pepper to taste. Serve with saltines, and repeat as needed. I've found that the soup does take quite a bit of salt. You can add a dash of Tabasco if you wish.....

My story about corn soup

Back in the �60s when I was a pup, Grampa Ned would come to visit us in Redwood City during the summer, or we�d all go up to Madge and Stan�s in Upper Lake, and we�d always have corn soup at some point during the visit. Corn, water, milk and salt � that, in a nutshell, was the recipe, with the only real instructions being �add half as much water as your going to add milk�.

It wasn�t until I was well into adulthood that I realized Corn Soup�s true sordid past�. Grampa Ned liked to have a wee (or not so wee) dram, and any project usually involved a helper � I.W. Harper, Jack Daniels� You get the idea�. Given this pattern and the certainty that many kith and kin used the same helpers, it�s a fair bet that they all took issue with the temperance crowd and prohibition in general.

My take is that Ned and some of the other ol� boys were making bootleg whisky in the �30s during prohibition. They were cooking the corn mash when a �revenuer� caught them red-handed. Ned had the presence of mind to tell the agent that they certainly were NOT making demon whisky, but simply making a nice batch of corn soup �for the children� and proved it by pouring milk into the mash to prove his point. This spoiled the mash for whisky, but introduced enough �reasonable doubt� into the somewhat illicit proceeding to keep them all from being hauled off to the hoosegow, and a family legend and recipe were born.

PS: If you want to ruin the simplicity of this perfectly good recipe, you can add bacon, sausage, or chicken; potatoes and carrots and the like to make a corn chowder.

They are on the Kaiser in house computers, which Dr's have access to in all appointments.
I know this because I scanned thousands of medical records into the system myself. And now with a degree work with the Dr's.
Kaiser wanted to get everything on Kaiser computers so it would be more efficient for patients and Dr's.
Since it is easier to access Appointments, prescriptions, e-mailing Dr's. And that was the point of being online.
No patients cannot look at there chart online, but the reason is the same as you stated. If people who work at Kaiser can change things,
why on earth would you want all of that information about you online??? Besides you, I don't know too many who would.
The average person will most likely Never need to access their medical records, so it's not needed to be open to hackers online.
So please don't speak for Kaiser you don't know everything about them. (I'm sure you worked there too, yeah right)

Those educated in the field of phycology seem to have a majority who think the thought of her in high office absolutely frightening. Remember, she has a journalism degree and should be somewhat of an artist at speaking accurately and coherently with good sentence structure. She is clearly unable to do this. I think few people hold it against her that she claims to have a faith and those are far outnumbered by people who support that, both left and right. I think femenists couldn't care less that she has shown the ability to have a large family and a career. It doesn't appear that she is subserviant to her husband. Do you really think the fact that she "hunts" hurt her? More presidents than not have been hunters, some avid. Without going into detail, I am highly qualified to judge her "hunting". A true hunter NEVER shoots from a road, from a vehicle or an aircraft. All three give the human an unfair advantage. (like a high powered rifle with scope isn't enough of an advantage) Real hunters stalk their prey, spend time to know their preys habits and territory. Shooting from a helicopter is the most stressful terrifying way to run down an animal. It is easy to wound the prey and these "hunters" who are paying big money per hour do not land in rough country and track the wounded animal to finish its suffering as true hunters do. Only the elite rich can afford this "sport". They seem to think their wealth and ability to pay $900 per hour for the bird makes it ok to terrify prey, run them to exhaustion, and leave them to die slowly when wounded. Personally as a person who worked periphally with professional hunting in Africa and was on a culling team, and game capture team, I hate her lack of hunting ethics. And yes, many people dislike her for shooting animals who sit down to their farmed meat from an animal raised in horrific conditions-hypocrites.

I think most of the hatered comes from people who are so full of fear to think someone as bonkers as she is could be in charge of their future. After all, many of those same people could see Bush for who he really was (a bufoon) at his first election. Half of this country was terrified that the other half were big enough idiots to reelect him. Based on this, they believe anything is possible, even a mental case like Palin getting in the whitehouse if she puts on a good enough pony and dog show. I feel sorry for those who think Palin has what it takes to lead this country. Surely the republicans can do better than this with 300 million people to choose from. At least McCain was a man I could respect while I disagreed with him. Republicans need to stop being brainwashed idiots willing to follow a Palin off the cliff, and focus on finding an intelligent, charasmatic leader with real values and honesty, so we can feel a bit of security no matter which party wins the next one.

Water is to be rationed.
Cap & Trade will cost us each at least $300 per month which will lead to rental increases and defaults on mortgages.
The price of everything will go up (INFLATION) due to cap & trade if it passes.
I will need to pay taxes on my health care benefits or be fined $1000 if I don't get benefits.
The gov will give me some of YOUR money if I buy the car they're pushing, or take a foreclosed home of their hands, but only if it fits into a narrow profile....maybe.

Meanwhile, unemployment is growing, the deficit is growing and CA, among other states, has to issue IOUs since it's out of money.

The OP states he's in Rohnert Park/Cotati. My guess is if it's in RP it is 30 days. If Cotati could be 60 days. Cotati has rent-control, as does Berkeley. Berkeley notice is 60 days.

The main point being is that municipalities can set the notice from landlord to anything. The idiots posting the California Code is an idiot as municipal code trumps State codes. However if a city or town in California does not address it, it reverts to California law, which is 30 days.

Check with your local code for your answer.

rent payment each month is a �month-to-month�
rental agreement, and the tenancy is a �monthto-
month� tenancy.43 The month-to-month rental
agreement is by far the most common kind of
rental agreement, although longer (or shorter)
rental periods can be specified.
If the periodic rental agreement requires that
rent be paid once a week, it is a �week-to-week�
rental agreement and the tenancy is a �week-toweek�
tenancy.44
In effect, a periodic rental agreement expires
at the end of each period for which the tenant
has paid rent, and is renewed by the next rent
payment.45 A periodic rental agreement does not
state the total number of weeks or months that
the agreement will be in effect. The tenant can
continue to live in the rental unit as long as the
tenant continues to pay rent, and as long as the
landlord does not ask the tenant to leave.
In a periodic rental agreement, the length
of time between the rent payments (the rental
period) determines three things:
� How often the tenant must pay rent;
� The amount of advance notice that the tenant
must give the landlord, and that the landlord
must give the tenant, if either decides to
terminate (end) the tenancy; and
� The amount of advance notice the landlord
must give the tenant if the landlord decides
to change the terms of the rental agreement
other than the rent.46 (Special rules apply
to the amount of advance notice that the
landlord must give the tenant to raise the rent
(see pages 30�32).)
Oral rental agreements
In an oral rental agreement, you and the
landlord agree orally (not in writing) that you will
rent the rental unit. In addition, you agree to pay
a specified rent for a specified period of time
�for example, a week or a month. This kind of
rental agreement is legally binding on both you
and the landlord, even though it is not in writing.
However, if you have a disagreement with your
landlord, you will have no written proof of the
terms of your rental agreement. Therefore, it�s
usually best to have a written rental agreement.
It�s especially important to have a written
rental agreement if your tenancy involves special
circumstances, such as any of the following:
� You plan to live in the unit for a long time (for
example, nine months or a year);
� Your landlord has agreed to your having a pet
or water-filled furniture (such as a waterbed);
or
� The landlord has agreed to pay any expenses
(for example, utilities or garbage removal) or to
provide any services (for example, a gardener).
Any time that a tenant and a landlord agree to
the lease of a rental unit for more than one year,
the agreement must be in writing.47 If such an
agreement is not in writing, it is not enforceable.
Written rental agreements
A written rental agreement is a periodic rental
agreement that has been put in writing. The
written rental agreement specifies all the terms
of the agreement between you and the landlord
�for example, it states the rent, the length of
time between rent payments, and the landlord�s
and your obligations. It may also contain clauses
on pets, late fees, and amount of notice.

The length of time between rent payments is
important. In most cases, the amount of advance
notice that the landlord gives you when notifying
you of changes in the terms of the tenancy must
be the same as the length of time between rent

If your lease is currently up for renewal, meaning expired terms, then the owners can pretty much do whatever they like and only provide 30 days notice, regardless of your rent history, which appears to be great. They unfortunately don't even need a reason.

Recently I had a very bad experience with Officer Patrick Ensley of the Napa Highway Patrol.

He arrested me and followed up with a report full of lies. In an effort to protect myself, my attorney and I attended a Hearing at the Napa Court Building. During this Hearing, he calmly (under oath) lied about the facts. He perjured himself to the Judge and Court.

I am SHOCKED! I was raised to believe that the Police are the good guys. I believed that the Police are the heroes of society.

For your information, the DMV Department took time to examine the facts and decided to drop all charges against me.

I plan to file a complaint against Officer Patrick Ensley. I want to be very careful because I am terrified of "possible reprocations".

HAVE YOU? YOUR FAMILY MEMBER? A FRIEND? had a problem with this Officer??????

If so, please write me back with your story. You name is not necessary. I just want to hear what he did improper.
