Product Development Manager
ELSA L, Inc., a consumer products company specializing in photo albums, frames, wall art and office organization, seeks an experience Product Development Manager. The job duties include but are not limited to the following:
Ø Development of improved reporting tools and methods for process improvement
Ø Strong project management skills
Ø Strong understanding of business and business processes
Ø Develop, evaluate, source and launch new product lines
Ø Build relationships with vendors, manufacturers and other business partners to increase business revenue
Ø Have an eye for color, flair, design and fashion
Ø Ability to supervise others such as product coordinators; providing oversight, prioritization of projects and deadlines, and having this team work cohesively together
Ø Provide strategic information to other senior members of the organizations for products to introduce to the market
Ø Ability to negotiate with a variety of sources to obtain the best price to optimize and stay with in margins
Ø Must have a role-up-the sleeves attitude, and willingness to get the job done
Ø Strong Computer skills including: Excel, Outlook and other industry specific programs
Ø Ability to work in creative environment that is fast-paced to meet seasonal deadlines and client needs
Requirements for this position:
Ø Bachelor degree preferred
Ø Must have experience in a consumer product manufacturing environment with 100s of SKUs.
Ø 5-10 years of experience in design, product development and retail environments preferred
Ø Strong project management and organizational skills. Creative thinker.
Ø Must thrive in a fast paced environment
Ø Must be willing to work extended hours, as we interact and communicate with offices in China.
