This position is for a bilingual (Spanish) domestic violence response team (DVRT) advocate who will provide immediate outreach to victims of a domestic violence crime. The DVRT is a project of the Women�s Community Advocacy Program (WCAP) of MAWS. The DVRT Advocate will be supervised by the WCAP Manager. The advocate will provide immediate and ongoing support and advocacy for Spanish speaking victims in the community and their children. The program assists victims, one-on-one, with practical, emotional and social needs by means of outreach, safety planning, peer support, advocacy, information on domestic violence, resources and referrals, problem-solving and court accompaniment. This program is funded by the Office of Violence Against Women.

RESPONSIBILITIES

� Make immediate contact with victims of a domestic violence crime to offer support services and advocacy

� Provide victims and their children with crisis intervention counseling, safety planning, emotional and peer support and information about domestic violence

� Assist victims in determining their needs and developing options

� Provide victims with referrals to community and county resources as needed

� Assess the children's needs and make appropriate referrals as necessary

� Accompany victims to court hearings; providing transportation if needed

� Maintain positive working relationships with the District Attorney's office, law enforcement, and other County agencies

� Monitor the batterer's criminal case and assist the women in voicing their needs and concerns within the criminal court system

� Maintain documentation of activity with participant in the Program

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

One of the primary functions of the position is to prepare testing protocols (sampling, frequency, test microorganisms, etc.) and to manage the hold-release program in conjunction with the Quality Assurance Department. This position also recommends specifications for ingredients, WIPs and finished products and works with suppliers and Amy�s Kitchen personnel to assure compliance on a consistent basis. In addition, this position works on process evaluation and improvement to assure microorganism/pathogens are maintained/eliminated as per the specification. This individual works closely with the Quality Assurance Department, other members of the Technical Service Department as well as the Production, Warehouse and Engineering staff. The incumbent should be able to work quickly and accurately under pressure of deadlines and communicate well with other departments.

Main responsibilities include:

� Work with Food Safety/HACCP Team to develop requirements for ingredients, WIPs and finished products that will assure the safety of Amy�s Kitchen food

� Work with Tech Service/Specification Development to identify and set requirements in ingredient specs, receipt inspection forms, COAs, WIP and finished product specs, etc.

� Work with Quality Assurance Departments, particularly Raw Materials and Food Safety, to implement programs for ingredients, WIP and finished products sampling

� Develop a program to obtain, manage and respond to information in COAs.

� Investigate and report on microbiological/food safety issues of interest/concern to Amy�s Kitchen.

REQUIREMENTS

� BS in Microbiology, Biology, Food Science and 3 or more years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

� 1-2 years experience in the food industry

� Some experience in the development of ingredient and/or product specifications, sampling plans, certificate of analysis management and/or other quality assurance programs

� Excellent interpersonal and assertiveness skills, necessary to maintain effective and cordial working relationships while, at the same time, come to resolution/agreement on Amy's requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years� food & beverage experience in a hotel environment.  Play a supportive role in the preparation of the budgets for capital improvements.
 Assist in the preparation of the narrative descriptions of physical needs of properties and buildings and corrective measures to be taken.
 Coordinate the work of consultants, contractors, and Marin Housing staff throughout the renovation and reconstruction process.
 Conduct HUD established procurement procedures.
 Create and distribute RFP�s/RFQ�s for contract labor.
 Inspect projects in progress and at completion for final acceptance of conformance and design;
 Prepare correspondence and report on assigned projects.
 Examine plans, calculations, and specifications of complex projects for compliance with City and County codes and ordinances, and Marin Housing policy.
 Prepare a variety of policies, procedures, correspondence, contracts, reports and other written materials.
 Responsible for analyses of historical and trend data.
 Keep updated with current regulations, Federal, State and local laws codes.
 Perform other related work as assigned.

THE QUALIFICATIONS: THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

The Senior Project Manager should possess a minimum of a master�s degree or any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities of this classification. Such experience and training would be equivalent to a Master�s in Urban planning, finance, business administration, engineering, architecture or closely related field; with seven years if full-time, professional diversified architectural or construction management experience, including all phases of design and construction. Must possess excellent interpersonal and communications skills; and be:

� Effective and creative problem solver;
� Outstanding analytical and strategic thinker;
� Possess reputation for being highly accountable and credible;
� Capably and articulately present information to a wide range of audiences, including Board of Commissioners, Agency staff and the public.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Salary from $5,773 to $7,261 per month, depending on experience, with a comprehensive benefit package including PERS 2% at 55, an allowance for medical, dental and life insurance, and a 457 deferred compensation plan, generous vacation and management leave.
