I work full-time during the day in Novato, but currently live in Berkeley and would like to cut out the commute and toll. I've lived where I am now for over a year and half. For work I lead a Cesar Chavez After School club at a local middle school and help coordinate an environmental education program in about 15 elementary schools in Marin and Sonoma counties. I recycle, compost and garden and would prefer a household that does the same (or at least does what they're able, as I know Marin County doesn't compost). Some of my interests include gardening, cooking, nutrition, painting, drawing, music, dancing, yoga, reading and writing among others.

We have one sweet dog (a 35 pound 8 year old English Springer) and one cat. We are hoping to move February and our looking for a home in the rent range of $1200-$1300.

Am transfering to Sonoma County to enroll at Sonoma State in the spring.
Am presently on HUD housing and need a landlord or owner to accept a HUD rental voucher.
If you are unfamiliar with HUD your roll would be to allow your rental to be inspected by the HUD program, hopefully it passes, and sign the voucher for their part in covering the majority of the rent, while I pay the difference.

POSSIBLE LOGISTICS…
There are a number of logistical details that would need to be worked out. Here are my initial thoughts, but I am open to creative solutions…
SPACE NEEDED: The RV measures 21’ long by 7’ wide by 12’ high. I would need to be able to take it out about once a week to have my tanks dumped and to let her stretch her legs.
RENT: We would come to an agreement on the rent amount taking into consideration any trade options we decide to implement (see below).
TRADE: For details, see the trade box to the left. I thought we would mutually agree on a single hourly value for my time (regardless of the project) and, if needed, a minimum amount of hours a week.
UTILITIES: I would need to connect to a garden hose outlet and be able to “plug in” to a regular socket. I can get measuring devises which will calculate the exact amount of electricity and water I use. Each month we would multiply those amounts by the rates you are being charged to determine how much I owe.

About Our "3rd":
We have an awesome 3rd...Her name is Bella. She's a 4-5 yrld spayed female AmStaffMix - aprox 60lbs. She's great with other dogs, cats & people (a little shy at 1st but warms up quickly), completely house trained and obedient. She's quiet when left alone (doesn't bark, chew or whine and is an all around stable, fun, happy-go-lucky dog). With our work schedules, we have plenty of time for feeding bathroom breaks, etc.
Besides that:
$700/month or less would be our "ideal" rent (including utilities) - give or take - being that we're only paying $600/month right now. Also, we are very much interested in "take-over" lease options as well (Fairfax to San Rafael to Mill Valley).
