I have a great space in downtown Napa, and am looking for the right people to be part of the house.
It's a 3 bedroom apartment which is the upper level of an old building that used to be the train station in Napa a 100 years ago. It's not much to look at from the outside but the inside is another story. There's a living room and a dining room, as well as additional space in a sun room off the back of the house. The kitchen isn't updated but it has a gas stove, which is about all I need to be happy. There's only one bathroom, but I think we can make that work. There are hookups for a washer and dryer, which I don't have yet but would love to. The house is right downtown off of Soscol, about block from the Oxbow Market.
The bedrooms available are decently sized, and with the rest of the apartment also at your disposal, it's a good deal all around. The two bedrooms are connected by a door, sort of like those side by side hotel rooms wheren there's a door in between them. I don't think it will be a problem as it's not like sharing a whole wall like the parlor doors so many people in San Francisco have to put up with. Honestly, a bookshelf or something would do the trick as far as that door is concerned.
As far as what I am looking for, I would love to find someone with an artistic or musical inclination. I bring this up only so you get the idea of the sort of house it is and the general aestetic I go for and would love to maintain with a household. I hate strictly new and modern furnishings, and lean a great deal towards old and shabby and interesting. If you want to outfit the entire apartment in Ikea, then it's not the best fit for either of us.
I work in the restaurant world, and someone also working in the industry would be welcome.
For myself, I am late 20's, female, very liberal leaning so it's imperative that I live with like minded people in that way. I love music and movies, and art and food, all the biggies, and I am into sustainable and green practices. Those with similar leanings would do well here.
I lived in SF for several year, so it would be nice to even live with others who left the big city and tend to miss it from time to time.
Above all I would like to have a house that feels comfortable and lived in, and it would be great to get along well enough to even want to hang out from time to time. I don't see any reason people who live together should not share a meal and a glass of wine, or kick back with a movie if you're all around. It's a household not a prison sentence, so come to it with some warmth and openness.
The bedrooms will be unfurnished, but the common areas will be mainly taken care of. Though if you have furniture we can see what would work.
I do have a dog, he's not too big, about 35 lbs, so please be open to that and want to be around a furry friend. Sorry, I don't think any more pets would work in the space, but if you have one well behaved, not too big, dog, then maybe we could discuss it. No cats for sure, allergic.

Our convenient hillside location (we are technically not in Sausalito, but that was the only close option listed on Craigslist) is a quick 2 minutes to the freeway, under 5 miles to the Golden Gate Bridge and a 3 minute walk down to stores, a big name coffee selling place (that starts with �S�), and regular buses (at the Southern Marin Golden Gate Transit hub) to downtown SF and the Sausalito Ferry. Because there are miles of nearby, easy to access hiking and mountain biking trails, with abundant parking space at the trail head (if you don't want to walk the ten minutes up the hill to get there) you won�t have to spend a lot of time (and gas money and tolls) driving somewhere to get out and enjoy the beauty of Southern Marin.
