POSITION SUMMARY: Redwood Community Health Coalition (RCHC) is a network of 14 nonprofit
community health centers providing primary and preventive health care services in Marin, Napa,
Sonoma and Yolo counties. RCHC’s mission is to improve access and quality of care to underserved
and uninsured people in the communities served by RCHC’s health centers.

Under the supervision of RCHC’s Director of Government and Community Relations and Healthy
Kids Sonoma County Program Manager, the Enrollment and Retention Program Coordinator is
responsible for providing leadership and direction in developing, implementing, evaluating, and
sustaining RCHC’s Certified Application Assistant program. The Outreach and Enrollment Program
Coordinator will work collaboratively with Community Health Centers to coordinate and streamline
the collaborative CAA program to ensure maximum effectiveness of the program.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Analyze current outreach and enrollment system and develop recommendations for new
program systems and protocols

• Coordinate, document and supervise implementation of the collaborative outreach, enrollment,
retention and utilization program between RCHC and Community Health Centers

• Directly supervise CAAs employed by RCHC and coordinate contracts between CHCs to
ensure compliance with grant objectives

• Provide support and technical assistance to CHCs in achieving grant objectives

• Chair and staff the RCHC’s Outreach and Enrollment Committee

• Support RCHC IT professionals in facilitating trainings for CAA in IT systems

• Assist RCHC staff with development and implementation of CAA training modules and attend
monthly CAA best practices meetings

• Identify and develop relationships with strategic community partners (schools, service clubs,
business, faith community, government) and act as community liaison for RCHC

• Supervise RCHC data collection

• Act as liaison between local, State, and Federal programs on outreach and enrollment issues

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs other tasks as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Excellent in verbal, written and interpersonal communication

• Demonstrated ability to supervise staff

• Research skills: identifying need, gathering, analyzing, reporting and critical thinking

• General understanding of quality improvement methodologies for program design and evaluation

• Demonstrated ability to design and implement programs

• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality

• Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications (MS Office, Access and
Excel)

• Proficiency in spoken and written Spanish highly desirable

EXPERIENCE OF QUALIFIED CANDIDATES:

• 3 to 5 years experience in a program management level position within health care, community
health provision, community-based non-profit program development or other related field

• BA (and preferably an advanced degree) in one of the following or a related field: Social Services,
Health Administration, Public Health, Public Administration, Non-Profit Administration or other
related field

• Experience working with community health center staff

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.

• The Redwood Community Health Coalition provides all training required by OSHA to ensure
employee safety. No or very limited physical effort required. No or very limited exposure to
physical risk.

• Ownership of a car in good working condition and maintenance of a valid California driver’s
license. Position may involve periodic travel within Bay Area.
