The Marin County Department of Health and Human Services, CalWORKs Employment Services program is seeking to hire an SSI/Disability Advocate / Case Manager. This is a temporary extra hire position, located in San Rafael, CA. Applicants must have the knowledge, skills and previous experience to case manage multi-barriered, disabled families through the process of applying for benefits from SSI, Regional Centers and the California State Department of Rehabilitation. This would include assessment, data collection, application, advocacy and appeals. The minimum qualifications needed are a combination of education and experience equivalent to three years of college level coursework with major emphasis in a social or behavioral science or closely related field AND one year of employment development and/or vocational counseling experience with economically disadvantaged or disabled persons that demonstrates possession of the required knowledge and abilities.
