Paradise Foods, an upscale grocery market, has an immediate opening for a full time Accounting Clerk responsible for accounting duties including payroll processing and heavy accounts payable. This position reports to the Controller and will be located in our Corte Madera store.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Accounting/AP
Record daily sales
Oversee and maintain accounts payable
Accurately input invoices after approval by departments
Prepare weekly A/P check run
Oversee maintenance and filing of A/P vendor files
Maintain vendor A/P relationships and account reconciliations
Assistance to the Controller as needed
Payroll/HR
Maintain time clock system
Prepare weekly labor reports
Prepare bi-weekly payroll
Enter payroll in general ledger
Create & maintain employee files
Process all employee changes & terminations
Maintain employee benefits
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Minimum of one year experience in an accounting role
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
Ability to work independently on assigned tasks
Able to communicate, read and comprehend instructions in English.
Reliable, punctual, and neat and clean in appearance.
Experience with Peachtree software is a plus.
