Position Overview
The copywriter will have primary responsibility for distilling communication strategies into product copy for LeapFrog's digital experiences.

Duties & Responsibilities
Review and revise briefs for copy needs to ensure they are complete, consistent with brand and product line positioning and provide clear and complete direction.
Create marketing copy for all products and downloadable apps and manage the entry and update of this copy in a corporate database
Provide copywriting or editing support for product-related marketing and sales collateral, retail communication, email and online merchandising assets and corporate documents as requested
Maintain and uphold copy templates and style guides to ensure currency and consistency across product communications
Maintain archives of the Copy Review Board
Write or edit product scripts and manage the script publishing process for use by audio team
Provide grammar assistance for product content, presentations and other projects as requested
Provide project support to Copy Strategist as directed

Education & Experience
3 to 7 years of copywriting/editing experience
Experience in corporate or design agency environment or writing for children's and/or educational products is a plus
B.A. in Communications, Journalism, English or related field
Able to distill significant amounts of requested messaging into succinct copy that adheres to brand standards and is appropriate to the medium
Outstanding attention to detail and an eye for consistency across multiple projects
Ability to prioritize projects and to work efficiently within tight deadlines
Ability to work independently and take initiative to resolve questions
Able to work collaboratively across multiple teams and effectively incorporate feedback
Able to quickly become familiar with multiple product lines, their marketing positioning and their individual product portfolios
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Must be comfortable learning new software and systems
Familiarity with the Chicago Manual of style a plus
