POSITION SUMMARY
As a Sports Copywriter you will be in charge of updating and maintaining all web content pertaining to your sport. You should have a passion for both writing and your sport. You must be computer savvy and have a familiarity with content-driven web sites. We are looking for someone who is self-driven, organized, and detail-oriented. You must be able to filter through a variety of information and focus on the important facts to create accurate, detailed, and streamlined content.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Proofread all content and copy, maintaining the highest level of quality.
• Create detailed sport-specific training and “How To” guides.
• Introduce forum discussion topics based around key issues of your sport.
• Assist with the development and sourcing of pertinent multi-media content.
• Assist in the development of content features and attributes.
• Moderate all user interactions involved with the content of your sport.
• Assist in the development of promotional materials.
REQUIREMENTS
• Must have a background in fitness.
• Bachelor’s degree in English or a related field preferred.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent command of written English.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Highly attentive to detail.
• Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet Explorer.
• Must be able to type at least 40 wpm.
• Should have at least 2 years experience in copywriting or editing.
• Proven ability to prioritize and manage a heavy workload.
• Must be self motivated.
