Ms. Gesso is full of happy energy, eager to romp around with a canine or human friend. Gesso was left at the shelter by her owner who clearly wasn't giving this pooch the love and attention that all dogs deserve. She has come a long way from her first days at the shelter, when she sat in the back of her kennel overwhelmed by the noisiness and strange surroundings of the shelter. Fortunately, Gesso has been transformed thanks to the efforts of admiring volunteers who are keen to spend time with this lovely girl. Now, she is outgoing with humans and enjoying the attention lavished upon her, and the opportunities that abound, for play. In her temperament test, Gesso seemed comfortable with being handled any which way, so it's possible that she would be fine in a home with smaller children too.
We are also pleased to say that Gesso is the star of our doggie play sessions at the shelter. She has had a blast playing with every dog we've introduced her to. Gesso has also been invaluable in teaching overexcited puppies some nice play manners. Good girl! We almost hate to give her up. However, we know Gesso desires a home of her own after putting in her time at the shelter. At this point, she is one of our longer-term dogs (through no fault of her own) and we're hoping someone will come along and realize what a gem Ms. Gesso is and give her the life that this dear girl deserves.
