URGENT: Olivia, a Young Grey/White Cat Needs Home Without Other Cats (oakland hills / mills)
She'll likely do quite a bit of hiding before she settles in and starts to show her true personality - which is really delightful once you have earned her trust. As she is getting to know you, she is likely to get overstimulated and be swatty, but this appears to be a quite normal fear reaction that will dissipate as she becomes more confident. However, for this reason she would do best in a home without small children.
Olivia isn't a difficult cat, but certainly one who lacks confidence. It seems that she will definitely be worth the time it will take for her to feel safe and adjusted to a new home.
Olivia has been spayed, microchipped, is current on vaccinations and has tested negative for FIV and FeLV.
If you'd like to meet Olivia, please e-mail us at info[at]cattownoakland.org. Olivia is a beneficiary of Maddie's Fund Treatable Assistance Program, as she was treated for a minor health condition prior to arriving at Cat Town. This means we can waive our customary adoption fee, as we will receive a generous donation from Maddie's Fund upon Olivia's adoption.
Cat Town is a 501(c)(3) volunteer-run non-profit that has partnered with Oakland Animal Services to take the cats who are least likely to do well in a shelter environment and most at-risk of being euthanized.
