Seneca Center's MST program serves youth and families involved with Alameda County Probation. Multisystemic therapy is an intensive family and community-based treatment program designed to make positive changes in the various social systems (home, school, community, peer relations) that contribute to the antisocial behaviors of probation-involved youth who are at risk of out-of-home placement. Responsibilities
- Conduct MST assessment including review of referral information, identifying and engaging key participants, identifying systemic strengths and weaknesses, and developing an analysis of the fit of problem behaviors within the ecological context.
- Engage primary caregiver and other key participants in active change-oriented treatment by identifying and overcoming barriers to engagement.
- Implement a problem conceptualization, treatment planning, intervention implementation, outcome review and strategy revision procedure using the MST Analytic Process.
- Maintain a clear concise documentation of treatment efforts that promote peer and supervisory review and feedback, and that demonstrate compliance with the 9 MST Principles and the MST Analytic Process.
- Collaborate with all relevant systems and key participants within each system to ensure their buy-in and cooperation throughout MST treatment.
- Provide direct clinical treatment using methods compatible with MST principles and practices.
- Participate in all MST training, supervision and consultation activities.
Qualifications
- Masters degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or a related subject area and license eligible with the BBS.
- Obtain fingerprint clearances with the DOJ and FBI as in addition to other regulatory requirements
- At least 21 years old with a valid California driver's license and a clean driving record
- Strong writing and computer skills
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Hours
Flexible schedule, clinicians may work some evenings as well as occasional weekend hours as needed. Full time position.
Compensation
- $40,000 unlicensed, $48,000 licensed.
- Additional stipend for bilingual abilities
- Fully paid employee benefits including medical, dental, vision and chiropractic coverage and 50% paid premiums for dependents.
