The Alameda County Fair Association is a non-profit organization that manages the Alameda County Fairgrounds with over 3 million people in attendance at the many 300 events held each year. Home to the Annual Alameda County Fair and public and private events including large consumer and trade shows, festivals, corporate events, concerts, graduations, picnics, weddings and other social events
Position Summary: This position requires an ability to write well, knowledge of graphic design, print production experience and a creative spirit. Previous experience must include development and design of creative projects including print, online and websites. Proven copywriting ability for website content, press releases and other collateral. Photography experience is desired.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing Communications and Graphic Design
• Create and administrate marketing vehicles including printed and electronic collateral, newsletters, presentations, brochures, flyers, posters and signs
• Design newspaper and magazine ads and work directly with print publications
• Manage all stages of production process, including: quotations, file preparation and proofing
• Enforce identity standards and maintain brand assets, including logos, illustrations, and photos
• Manage Photo Library and all photography needs year round
• Work with Web Designer closely on many marketing and online communication projects
• Work with Sign/Banner Dept closely on related marketing projects
REQUIRED SKILLS
• At least 3 years of print and graphic design experience
• Strong copywriting skills for website content and marcom materials as well as a good command of the English language
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and within budget
• Ability to work in MAC and PC environments
• Fluency in Flash, Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
• Experience and/or love of photography
- Compensation: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour Part Time - 24 hour a week
