Entry –Level Position
Northern California light fixture company based in Union City, CA is seeking an assistant engineer to join their team. The candidate will assist the engineering dept with prototyping using simple in-house tools, modification and other miscellaneous projects as required, installation and verification of mock-ups. Act as the intermediary between engineering department and production department. Assist production department when necessary with custom jobs. Clean and maintain the lab area. Maintain records and documentation. Be able to work independently and with minimal supervision.
Requirements:
Must be detail oriented. Able to use hand tools and some power tools, i.e., band saw, chop saw, etc, Be able to interpret engineering dwg/blue prints. Good computer skills, i.e. internet, email, word/excel. Excellent communication skills both written and oral. Basic electricity and lighting knowledge a plus.
Education:
AA degree or 2 years experience in a related field.
