Resident Manager/Handy Person --Duties to Include:
- Repairs: The Resident Manager will perform plumbing, carpentry and electrical repairs, as well as unit improvements during turnovers. Jobs may range between Service Plumbing in the kitchens and baths (Repair Sinks, Bathtubs, and Toilets) to carpentry and general repair throughout the buildings. - Leasing: The property management company is responsible for renting the apartments. However, the Resident Manager needs to be available to host open houses, usually twice a week during vacancies. One weekday evening and one weekend day. The position requires the resident manager to be onsite with no absents during the May 20 - June 10 and July 20 - August 10 apartment turnover season.
- Handle After Hours Emergencies: In the event of an emergency, the Resident Manager will solve the problem, and or contact the appropriate vendor. The Resident Manager will have access to the keys to let a tenant in.Facilitate access for PGE, Cable, etc as needed.
- Tenant Relations: The resident manager will be responsible for helping deal with resident disputes and complaints, noise issues and be the first line of defense for negotiating and developing resolutions. Deliver Notices: Occasional 24 hour notices posted on doors, delivery of documents and facilitation of rent collection. The position requires excellent communication with a variety of people, residents and the community.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Peer counselor is a paraprofessional person who offers basic breastfeeding information, encouragement and support to pregnant and breastfeeding mothers that attend the WIC program at NAHC.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Receives a caseload of WIC participants and makes routine periodic contacts with all WIC participants assigned during the prenatal, post delivery and up to 6 months postpartum following the frequency intervals specified in the California WIC Program Manual (WIC 630-10).

Experience:According to Career Ladder, a minimum of 2 years at ABSMC with an "Exceeds Expectations" on prior performance evaluation. May "fast-track" into OT II position with 3 years experience in a comparable setting at prior medical facility.
Licensure and Certification:Current California OT license, required. National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) preferred. Current CPR (BLS) certification, required. Current member of a professional organization of OT or relevant clinical area, preferred.
Physical Requirements:Strength and coordination necessary for lifting patients, pushing wheelchairs, gurneys and beds. See attached "Physical work Conditions checklist" for specific physical requirements.
The Auditor must have knowledge and experience in auditing medical record documentation, coding and billing, as well as have excellent communication and organization skills.
Education: Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Business Administration, Nursing, Health Information, or related field is required. Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC), Health Information Technology/Administration (RHIT/RHIA), Coding (CCS, CCS-P) or RN Degree is preferred.

Hours:
Schedule is flexible, determined by Associate Director and clients schedules. Most therapy sessions fall between the hours of 1:30-6:00pm, Monday through Friday, and some weekend hours twice a month. Candidates available in mornings only should not apply.

Starting rate $37-$50 per hour, depending on experience.
