The Pacific Firm, a premier retained executive search firm based in California seeks a part-time Research Associate for our Berkeley office. The Pacific Firm assists corporations and non-profits in filling positions across functions and at all levels. We rely on our unique research-based approach to recruiting. Clients are within the high technology, retail, consumer products, life sciences and financial services industries. The Pacific Firm provides full spectrum executive and management level recruiting services as well as other research based products such as salary surveys, corporate structuring, competitive intelligence and sales lead generation.
The Position
The Research Associate is responsible for supporting the recruiting staff by obtaining names, titles, reporting relationships and biographical information of potential candidates. The Researcher conducts internet research and phone surveys within specific target companies/industries. He or she is responsible for organizing and preparing database reports and will work on multiple positions at once. He or she will work between 16 and 30 hours a week, depending on our workload and your availability.
The Requirements
• Undergraduate degree required (current student acceptable)
• Prior telemarketing experience is ideal
• Knowledge of MS Office and the ability to type at least 45 wpm is essential
• Strong internet search skills; prior experience using Google, Lexus/Nexus, Hoovers, and other technical research engines and/or library research is essential
• Exposure to relational databases and entry-level experience in data entry is helpful but we will provide training
• The ability to spend many hours a day on the phone requesting and gathering difficult to find information is required of this person
• The ideal candidate is driven, tenacious, analytical and confident. A strong ego is a must.
• Must be able to integrate constructive feedback on your work without bristling
• We demand a solid work ethic, enthusiasm, open-mindedness and accuracy
