Sequoia Equities seeks an HR Specialist focused on Recruitment and Talent Acquisition.

Position will be based in the Corporate Office in beautiful downtown Walnut Creek.

The HR Specialist is responsible for the company's recruitment process through partnering with Hiring Managers to fill open positions in a timely, cost effective manner. The HR Specialist also provides generalist support to the Director of Human Resources.

Responsibilities include:

*Develops effective and creative recruitment strategies, including use of social media and networking
*Management of the full recruitment cycle, from posting, sourcing and screening resumes for qualified candidates, to in person interviews
*Proactively recruits and develops a ready pool of candidates through resume searches on websites and networking; conducts/manages job fairs as needed
*Manages on and off boarding process, from reference checks to conducting new hire orientations and 30 day follow up calls; off boarding to include conducting exit interviews
*Meets recruitment budget guidelines
*Participates in the company's training program, including curriculum development and facilitation of classes
*Prepares detailed Recruiting Report weekly, Turnover Report and Recruiting Expense report monthly
*Responds to inquiries from Employment Development Department on Unemployment Insurance, State Disability Insurance and Paid Family Leave claims
*Participates in the Leave administration process through preparation of Family and Medical Leave and Worker's Compensation Leave packets
*Assists the HR Director with employee relations matters and other generalist projects as needed
*Upholds the company policies for equal opportunity employment and state and federal laws on fair employment

The right person will possess the following:

*Three to five years recruitment experience
*Minimum one to two years general Human Resources experience
*Some College (min. 60 units/hours) and/or AA degree
*College Degree preferred; PHR a plus
