Front Office Medical Assistant (oakland lake merritt / grand)
compensation: Salary DOE, good benefits
Job duties include: answering phones, verifying insurance eligibility, reviewing and completing patient data entry, scheduling appointments, referrals and authorizations, collecting and posting patient payments, scanning documents, etc.
Experienced with a numerous insurance carriers including: Medicare, Medi-Cal, HMOs, and PPOs.
Excellent customer service skills and experienced with answering patient phone calls.
Experienced with verification of insurance eligibility and benefits.
Experienced with patient data entry and payment posting.
Highly organized with attention to detail.
Strong work ethic, highly motivated, reliable and self-directed.
Strong office computer skills and ability to multitask and remain flexible.
Experience with Centricity Practice Manager a plus.
