Busy private ophthalmology practice is seeking an energetic, hard working, and efficient Front Desk Receptionist. The clinic’s focus is on delivering excellent customer service and an ideal eye care experience. The Front Desk Receptionist is the bright “face” of the practice, the first person a new patient sees or the last patient a person sees for follow up. This person is responsible for scheduling, new appointments, insurance verification, authorizations and referrals for four ophthalmologists in the East Bay. The clinic’s focus is on delivering excellent customer service and an ideal eye care experience.
KEY JOB DUTIES : Answering phones, taking messages, directing telephone traffic, all done with a smile and with efficiency, Scheduling for 4 different doctors through the NEXT GEN computer system, 3) Completing the intake procedure, which includes copying insurance cards, verifying patient demographics, collecting co-pays from the patients and directing the patients to the appropriate waiting area, Completing the discharge process, which includes follow-up scheduling, referrals, authorizations as needed for medical care as determined by the various doctors, Ability to verify insurance coverage for multiple carriers, Maintaining professionalism and a warm, welcoming demeanor at all times while also multi-tasking in a busy environment.
