The City of Oakland is offering an outstanding opportunity for the right person to supervise the Office of the City Clerk’s activities relating to planning, coordinating and implementing the creation, maintenance, retrieval and disposition of a wide variety of legal documents and official City records. Responsibilities also include managing the citywide program of records management, overseeing computerized records management systems, managing the citywide off-site commercial records management contract and supervising the Records Unit.

The ideal candidate will have five years of work experience performing records management in a public jurisdiction or a large organization, two of those years in a supervisory capacity.
