This position reports to the Engineering Manager and will research, plan, and design mechanical, electro-mechanical, electronic and computer subsystems for use in new and existing radar systems, as well as direct and coordinate activities involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, test and repair of these systems.

SCOPE:

NATURE AND SCOPE:
The Engineering Manager position reports to the General Manager and is responsible for day-to-day management of MOD’s/Custom design and sustaining engineering activities plus the creation of MOD’s/Custom IDP’s packages, BOM’s, fixture documentation, submittals, estimations, etc. daily as required for customer work orders.
The primary responsibility of this position is to manage engineering support to increase productivity and profitability of the factory by delivering highly engineered products and documentation to build products that meet our safety, quality, delivery and cost targets. This position requires the working knowledge of the plant which may include assembly, paint, metal fabrication/machining and/or spinning/polishing.

3D Detailer oversees the coordination of BIM (Building Information Modeling) while providing ongoing development from our traditional CAD practices to more integrated BIM platforms. This individual will be responsible for managing multiple designers, coordinating with subcontractors and project management, and implementing plans and specs for use in BIM technology. Applicant must be capable of setting project detailing standards and stratagies, coordinating project tasks, create detailed mechanical layouts and drawings, and generate bills of materials.
Ideal individual has 5+ years of experience with strong 3D piping knowledge and can produce complex geometrical forms, identify design issues using the intelligence of the software, and provide virtual simulations in BIM. Proficient CAD drafting (AutoDesk products preferred) and detailing skills in mechanical and process systems within commercial and/or industrial projects is a must.

• Research and analyze data such as customer requests and specifications to determine feasibility of design. Determine design approach and parameters.
• Specify, design and document products or systems, considering performance, patient safety, regulatory requirements, patents, and corporate goals.
• Design circuits, circuit boards, test beds and other electrical hardware to be compliant with GMP and regulations such as EMC and safety.
• Write software/firmware to drive and test circuitry. FPGA experience a plus.
• Interface with mechanical and software resources as part of a cross-disciplinary design team.
• Provide a liaison with outside contract engineering and consulting resources, and act as the internal project manager.
• Prototype designs using a variety of prototyping methodologies as appropriate.
• Organize, plan, lead, and manage team projects in alignment with project goals. May provide guidance to other technical personnel.

Experience, Education, Training, Traits:
• BS or MSEE plus ten years experience designing electrical systems.
• Minimum of three years in a medical device environment is preferred. Similar, highly regulated fields may also be considered such as aerospace.
• Medical based RF experience in ISM band is highly preferred. Medical laser experience helpful.
• Proven track record of successful product development using a variety of design tools.

The Senior Electrical Engineer will perform multifaceted activates related to design, testing, and evaluation of micro fluidic devices and related systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs research and development activities including design concept, development,
evaluation, engineering analysis, engineering prototyping, materials and component selection, design testing, and implementation of specifications and documentation requirements.
Works closely with the design group in translating engineering designs to hardware and supports the transfer of prototype fabrication to manufacturing.
Contributes to other engineering activities effecting current and future products, including failure investigation and trouble-shooting.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Proven success in delivering new, well-documented products within defined schedules and budgets.
Familiarity with optimization system performance and noise reduction through analog circuit design and digital signal processing.
