Mechanical Engineering firm based in Oakland with a broad range of project types: Educational, Medical, Residential, and Commercial Design. We are located by the Oakland Airport and are a seven person firm specializing in heating, ventilating, air conditioning, plumbing, and fire sprinkler design.
Qualifications:
At least 3 years of full time experience in Plumbing Design.
Proficient in AutoCADD 2009 or 2010 with knowledge of layering standards.
Knowledgeable in how a set of Construction Documents is organized.
Familiar with specification writing.
Familiar in submittal reviews process.
Qualified in conducting a field investigation prior to construction documentations.
Communicate professionally and effectively in meetings and discussing plumbing systems and issues.
Participate in field meetings during the construction phase and confidently respond and discuss arising plumbing concerns.
DSA or OSHPD experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for all preliminary production work on all projects.
Working with project manager to produce a complete set of construction documents and specifications in a timely and professional manner.
Attend all project meetings and discuss plumbing matters.
Must be highly organized and able to coordinate the project information with other trades.
Perform thorough and accurate field verifications and produce space plans.
Professional Skills:
Must have excellent oral/written communication skills.
Must be a good listener, a quick learner and be highly motivated.
