I am looking for a 2 person camera team to document various circus acts in a studio shoot. We have the space, the talent, and lighting, we just need you!
What we are looking for:
We would like two professional videographers who have experience filming content with a lot of motion. Some of the acts that you will be filming are aerial acts, (if you need an example of what I mean, just you tube aerial act, or trapeze or fabric or rope act) with fast transitions and "drops" where the performer can drop a range of 10-15 feet within a moment. Experience with filming circus, dance or theatre is a big plus. Also, please note that the purpose of this video shoot is to create clean and clear footage that showcases the CIRCUS ARTIST, not the camera work....If you have any questions about what I mean by that, I can clarify more in a discussion.
So, if you feel you are a good fit for this project, please read the specific info as follows:
What:
2 Camera shoot, standard definition, documenting circus acts.
When:
Sat. December 19th & Sun. December 20th 2009
approximately 4pm-9pm each night (subject to change once we have the line up, but we will give plenty of notice)
Content:
circus acts will include both "ground" and "aerial" acts
We will be filming one act after another, with set up time for the act inbetween shots. Individual acts will be on average 5-10 min. long and be filmed approximately two times each (possibly more if two times isn't enough to get a good run) These videos will be used for the circus artist's personal promotion.
Equipment:
You provide your own equipment, professional grade cameras
Location: Oakland, CA
(Specific info upon response)
Lighting: We can provide theatrical lighting which will already be hung in place, but that can be maneuvered by the film crew, we can have ladders and such out and available. If the film crew will require any additional lighting, please include that in the estimate.
Post: All the acts in a FCP project on a hardrive provided by me.
In regard to editing, I'd like an estimate on the filming, and a separate estimate for editing, per act or per hour. Each act will be approximately 20-30 min of footage to be edited down into one consecutive sequence of the act, representing one full run of the act.
Please respond back with any questions you may have, as well as an hourly estimate, a minimum amount of filming time you need to make it worth your while, an estimate of how long you expect set-up and breakdown to be, and what cameras and equipment you will be providing for the shoot.
- Location: Oakland
