Interested in recycling and reuse clothing design?

The St Vincent de Paul ("SVdP") Fashion Artist in Residence (“FAIR”) program provides qualified designers with unlimited access to materials from our warehouse and use of a studio space located in Oakland. In return, the designers create clothing and accessories from reclaimed waste materials. The project also includes working with local high school students to create new fashions from thrift store materials. The artist will contribute a few of their pieces to the organization’s permanent collection, which is exhibited at a show in 2010.

Term length is 3 months, with a minimum of 8 hours per week on site.
