Therapeutic Yoga for People with Disabilities with Marcia Conroy
Therapuetic Yoga for People with Disabilities is specifically designed for people with limited or decreased movement capabilities seeking exercise for various reasons. This very gentle yoga is a series of stretching movements that can help to reduce stress within the body, strengthen endurance and reduce fatigue. It also expands the range of motion and flexibility and improves balance. In addition it reduces muscle spasms, improves bowel and bladder control, enhances energy channels and explores one’s full potential.
Classes are on-going. Join at any time.
Suitable for Beginners through Advanced students.

About the Instructor:
Marcia Conroy has been practicing yoga for over 13 years, primarily in the traditional Iyengar style. She is a graduate of the Advanced Studies program at The Yoga & Movement Center in Walnut Creek; and, a graduate of the Advanced Studies in Yoga Therapy at Seva Ananda in Santa Rosa. In addition, Marcia attended the last two annual conferences of the International Association of Yoga Therapists. For the past 3 ½ years Marcia has been teaching yoga primarily to seniors at the Walnut Creek Senior Center, San Ramon Senior Center and Danville Parks and Recreation; and, therapuetic yoga to people who have disabilities at the Yoga & Movement Center in Walnut Creek; and, Downtown Yoga, in Pleasanton.
