Fast growing Government contractor is seeking an experienced individual to serve as the Assistant Director Military Programs. The company’s defense contracting initiatives require sophisticated military business development and marketing activities to develop, cultivate, and manage a military customer base consistent with the company’s strategic direction and product distribution and sales objectives. The position focuses on military operations and training-related business development initiatives. Organizes, executes, and manages the company’s military sales plans, policies, programs, and systems in support of business plans and strategic objectives. Works with and supports the Director of Military Programs in the creation of new products and services required by present and future DOD customers. Develops and implements effective and measurable military sales objectives. Builds relationships of trust and confidence through open and effective communications with internal and external stakeholders and customers. Position reports to the Director of Military Programs. Competitive candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Business Administration; or equivalent experience in lieu of degree. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a significant business development role, preferably with DOD customers, and with a documented track record of success; Military experience and/or significant knowledge of military training/operations environments and culture; Documented success in a comparable position marketing and selling products and services to Department of Defense and other similar federal agencies is desired.
