2009 BMW M3 (Jerez Black)(January 2009)
It came off the boat, delivered to the
customer with surface scratches and swirls.
Additional washing created more issues, due to the clearcoat BMW uses
being quite
soft and
subject to swirls & scratches just by touching the car.
After 2 days of paint restoration.
This level of depth was achieved by using Menzerna Micro Polish PO 85RD, two coats of Power Seal by the
Chemical Guys,
and two coats of the Chemical Guys' 5050 wax.
Notice how the color flips between daylight and quartz/flourescent lighting.
This detail was a bit over 18 hours!

Removing surface contaminants with a buffer hasn't been used since 1996
when the company Auto Magic
came out with their amazing product Clay Magic. They hold the license to any "clay bar
for paint" on the market
today.
Here is an example of surface contaminants removed via "Clay
Magic"
The red color is most usually from hard water left over when the paint is
dried after washing.
In many cases, however, it is actually iron ore particles that
are
readily visible and you can feel them by lightly touching your vehicle's paint.
After the clay process the paint surface is left completely smooth. This is
the start of ANY machine polishing.
Anyone claiming to use their buffer to remove these contaminants is causing uneccesary
damage to your vehicle.
